Only 7 days left for your ACCA exams? Feeling nervous? Don't worry! If you have been attending your classes regularly, you've already done the hard work. Now you just need to review, practice, and feel confident.
Let me tell you something from my own experience. I know exactly how scary these last few days can feel. Here's a simple plan to help you do your best in the exam.
1. Change How You Think
- Right now, you don't need to learn anything new. You just need to go over what you already know.
- Tell yourself: "I have studied everything, I just need to practice more."
- Stay calm. Being worried won't help you. Being clear and confident will help.
2. Stick to One Teacher Only
- If you've been following one teacher's notes and classes, keep following the same teacher.
- Don't jump between different teachers or YouTube videos. This will only confuse you.
- More teachers = more confusion = less confidence.
3. Your 7-Day Simple Plan
Days 1-4: Review and Practice
- Go through each topic quickly using your notes.
- Solve practice questions right after reviewing each topic.
- Use the "mix and match" method: pick random questions from different chapters to keep your brain sharp.
- Find the hard questions and solve them 2-3 times until they become easy.
For extra practice, check out these mock exams:
- F1 (BT) Mock Exams for Business and Technology
- F2 (MA) Mock Exams for Management Accounting
- F3 (FA) Mock Exams for Financial Accounting
Days 5-6: Practice Real Exams
- Do past papers exactly like real exams (with time limits).
- Focus more on topics you find difficult.
- For multiple choice questions:
- Do the easy ones first.
- Mark the hard ones and come back to them later.
- Don't waste time guessing in the first round.
Day 7: Light Review Only
- Just go over important formulas and key points.
- Don't study new things. Just polish what you know.
Day 7 Evening: Get Ready for Exam
- Keep your mind fresh: sleep well, take a walk, watch something fun.
- Pack your bag: admit card, calculator, pens, water bottle.
- Feel relaxed and confident when you go to the exam hall.
4. How to Handle the Exam
- Written answers: Think about marks. If a question has 4 marks, write 4 good points. This saves time.
- Multiple choice:
- Round 1: Answer all the easy ones quickly.
- Round 2: Go back to the hard ones you marked.
- Last round: Trust your gut feeling and move on.
5. Don't Let Stress Win
- Take short breaks, go for walks, watch funny videos. Keep your brain fresh.
- Don't spend too much time on social media. If you use social media for 2 hours, study for at least 8 hours.
- Remember: If you don't pass, it's not the end of the world. You can try again. Giving up is the real problem.
6. Final Tips That Really Work
- Follow only one teacher. Don't get confused by too much information.
- Mix smart work (understanding concepts) with hard work (lots of practice).
- Do random questions and repeat the hard ones many times.
- Stay calm, sleep well, and keep your energy up.
